The BNY Mobility Innovation Fund is a new and pioneering Fund that invests in companies worldwide focused on innovation in transportation and related technologies.

Recently launched in August 2018, the small and mid-cap biased Fund seeks long-term capital growth and has delivered strong absolute and benchmark outperformance to date. In particular, it recovered strongly during the COVID-19 market turmoil as thematic tailwinds favored industries related to mobility.

Fund strategy is firmly anchored through its mandate to invest in transportation innovation, encompassing industries such as electric cars, 5G, and various electrical components. We note the Fund has maximum limits of 50% in industry and 70% in absolute sectors weighting, and 8% maximum individual security weight.

The Manager has ESG practices at a group level and has healthy sources of ESG data. However, at the moment, ESG factors were rated only at 5-19% in the ultimate investment decision. We note the Fund's early stage and expect to see fuller ESG and sustainability integration in the investment process and stewardship as it matures.

This Fund has been reviewed by ten industry veterans of the Benchmark judging committee.
