The Allianz Income and Growth Fund invests primarily in North American bonds and equities seeking income and growth and has delivered consistent outperformance.

The fund's investment philosophy seeks to identify companies that perform well in both good and bad economic cycles and outperform over medium to long-term. The Manager's multi-instrument approach spreads investment across equities, convertible bonds, high-yield bonds, and covered calls. The strategy emphasizes broad diversification across more than 120 securities and managing risk and active management, with average portfolio turnover above 81% in the past three years.

According to cited examples, during the market correction in 1Q 2020, the decision to rebalance the portfolio to maintain equities, high-yield, and convertible bonds as a proportion of one third each protected downside risk and allowed the fund to participate in the subsequent strong recovery.
