The Fuh Hwa Asian Pacific Equity Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation and stable income by investing in companies listed in the Asia Pacific and the USA and has been a consistent performer since its launch in 2007.

The fund's holdings have a sizeable weighting towards growth technologies, and solid geographic diversification is emphasized as a risk management tool, with between 45-59 securities held over the past three years. The investment process involves deep fundamental company and industry research, supported by an analyst bench with diverse expertise across science, biotechnology, and technology in addition to finance.

The Manager believes this contributes to a high level of analytical rigor and stock conviction, which drives superior investment performance through market volatility cycles. The grade of each security determines security weight, liquidity, and potential risk-adjusted returns relative to other securities in the portfolio. We note that stress testing only applies when there is a sharp increase in market volatility and a sharp rise in funds' net outflow.

In the past year, the frequency of contacts with investees and potential investees was once a quarter on average, and we encourage this frequency to be expanded.

The fund has delivered an excellent performance with net returns of more than 301 points above the benchmark on a 1Y, 3Y, and 5Y period with an active share target ratio exceeding 81%, although we note elevated volatility levels. In the past three years, its most significant drawdown has been between 20-25%.
